This report provides an overview of maritime industries and related education in Northern Germany. The report identifies common development goals and opportunities for education-related cooperation between Finland and Germany.
In the articles of this publication, the teachers tell about how digitalisation has changed the learning design in higher education. Many of the articles describe the authors’ own experiences of online teaching or present research results on online communication. The solutions and challenges are discussed and the aim is to share the authors’ ideas, experiences and concerns to help the teaching communities to develop new methods.

This publication presents the results of an empirical and comparative research. It was conducted by a team of legal scholars of Turku University of Applied Sciences (Finland), the European University Institute (Florence, Italy), the University of Trento (Italy) and the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). There has been a lack of understanding how to link system-level innovations to micro-level innovations. This is due to the fact that system-level changes take place in other parts of the business environment than micro-level innovations do, in different times and places. This report aims to answer to this knowledge gap.
